After undergoing training in mushroom production, basic electrical engineering, welding, brick layering and intensive livestock production a number of youths have seen doors open for them including employment opportunities.

Among these youth are Innocent Manzvera, Renaissance Chabhanga Nyasha Chauke, Ronald Chibhememe, Tyson Taringana,Taona Fatachi,Edwin Chibambalani and Njinga Faith. These youths are currently employed by one of the irrigation scheme contractors, Tensor Systems which is currently revitalizing Tshovani Irrigation Scheme. The youths were employed after producing certificates awarded to them upon completion of training under the Smallholder Irrigation Revitalisation Programme (SIRP).

Meanwhile, Saddam Masungwini who went through the training in poultry production has embarked on a poultry production project where he is rearing broilers for sale to local customers near Tshovani as well as Chiredzi.

The scheme also benefited from the expertise that youth gained from a carpentry course as they proceeded to make benches for the scheme’s shed where meetings and trainings are now being conducted.
