The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Country Director for Zimbabwe and Eswatini, Ms Jaana Keitaanranta visited irrigation schemes being revitalised under the SIRP programme. She visited Mayorca in Midlands, Silalabuhwa and Guyu in Matabeleland South. In her message to officials from SIRP, Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development and farmers, Ms Keitaanranta expressed satisfaction with progress achieved so far under the rehabilitation of  irrigation infrastructure, crops, training extended to both farmers and extension staff as well as projects taking place under the adjacent rain fed areas.
